Tapojarvi Italia is part of Tapojarvi Oy www.tapojarvi.com, an international Finnish group specialized in mining services, industry processes and material handling.  Tapojarvi is delighted to have recently established operations in Italy to provide waste metal recovery services to a leading steel manufacturer in Terni.  As part of the company’s start-up and expansion in Italy, Tapojarvi wishes to employ an HR Manager/ Director Italy.
 

Role

Reporting to the CEO, the appointee will

  • Advise Top Management and Site Management on relevant Labour and Company legislation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare regulations
  • Guide and manage the overall provision of HR services
  • Represent the Company with regards to Industrial Relations
  • Support Company management by liaising with public authorities, local and national administration
  • Represent the Company vis-à-vis professional associations such as Confindustria
  • Manage and drive HR processes to include performance management, salary reviews, employee engagement, data management
  • Carry out regular reporting
  • Support Company management by team-working and information-sharing
  • Ensure a positive and dynamic working environment
  • Take part in training and meetings periodically in Finland
 

Candidate Profile

  • Degree-holder preferably in Law or Business Administration
  • 5-10 years’ Operative HR experience in Industry
  • Significant Industrial Relations experience in Italy is required
  • Experience working in an international context preferred
  • Experience advising and working with Top Management
  • Good / very good English in addition to fluent Italian
  • Able to communicate at all levels; able to negotiate and manage conflict
  • High personal integrity, able to gain the trust of both workers and management
  • Open to reporting, team-working and information-sharing
  • Good organization and prioritization skills
  • Problem-solving skills; digitally literate
  • Personal integrity; strong values and ethics; loyal
  • Willing to travel periodically to Finland for meetings and training
  • Flexible with the willingness to learn and develop in an international Group
  • Ambitious and keen to participate in the growth of a young, dynamic and international company
