For our client, primary company operating in the renewable field, we are looking for:
 

LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTATION MANAGER
(679/LTM/20)

He/she will manage and ensure the correct logistic process flows of information and products in order to achieve defined targets for customer service level, operation costs. He/she will implement and improve best in class logistic practices in designing new automated ecosystem for logistic distribution worldwide.

 

Main Accountabilities

1. Design new logistic footprint and flows: Identifies, implements and leads opportunities/logistics improvement projects to streamline flow across the entire supply chain.  Sets up and manages integration of transport and logistics suppliers and customers within the supply chain. Adopt best in class solutions to manage and move material across countries.

2. Global and Local Service providers: Identifies, selects and manages both global (26 country) & local logistics service providers to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in relation to quality, cost and service standards. Renegotiate frame agreement with forwarder in order to identify best solution in term of service quality and costs.

3. Costs: Monitors, reports and optimizes total logistics costs within area of responsibility.

4. Budget and performance targets: Delivers on budget and targets within the framework.  Ensures the T&L sourcing performance targets are achieved.

5. Team management: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both the company and the employees. Coordinates talent management processes with other functions of the entire organization.

6. Transportation Management System: Drive the development of the IT platform able to perform planning and operation activities to engage forwarders, monitor shipments and optimize performances.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college;
  • Minimum 4/5 years of experience in Logistic / Distribution global management roles;
  • Fluency in English and Italian;
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP.

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous experience in working with Third Party Logistic provider;
  • Previous experience leading cross functional teams to implement projects and programs;
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Lead initiatives to established new operational process;
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills;
  • Proactive personality, able to work independent, deep dive problems and motivate people to perform and improve processes.

 

Place of work: Toscana (Firenze/Arezzo), and international transfers

Both Italian and English CVs are required.

We offer a permanent contract with remuneration commensurate with the experience gained in the role.
