Our Client is a multinational Company in the automotive sector. For their Italian Plant, we have been entrusted with the recruitment of a:

Role Description
Location: Bergamo area

Plant Quality Manager
 

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Quality Vice President, the Plant Quality Manager will manage the entire process of site quality. 

In particular, he/she will be responsible for:
  • maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers to maximise profit potential and ensure efficiency;
  • managing the audit programme as well as supplier development and improvement. He/She will play a key role in ensuring project deliveries;
  • working proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees to achieve a continuous improvement in their areas ofresponsibility;
  • leading a ‘correct at source’ and problem solving methodology (Lean);
  • leading the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals;
  • providing clear leadership to develop a quality-focused environment by managing compliance and integration throughout the Company
  • developing quality-process links with customers in line with the: 
    • Quality Management system (including: IATF, ISO14001 / OHAS 18001); 
    • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP);
    • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP); 
    • Controls Plans, Failure Mode and Effect;
    • Analysis processes (FMEA) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and supervision;
  • contributing to the creation and implementation of best practice in terms of quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance;
  • contributing to new business initiatives and projects, reviewing and communicating the impact on Quality activities;
  • implementing all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance
  • undertaking internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • coordinating the Supplier Quality Assurance function in order to reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality 
  • managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
 

Requirements

  • Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering is preferred
  • Significant experience in a high volume manufacturing environments, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Work experience in Quality Assurance
  • Deep knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Strong experience in dealing with OE customers and suppliers
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organisational skills
