Our Client is a prestigious Italian company, one of the world’s leading wine producers, well known for the top-end quality of its wine.
We have been entrusted with the search of the:
Area/Resident Manager DACH
Location: Tuscany
The Role
The candidate, reporting to the Sales Manager Europe and functionally to the Sales & Marketing Director, will be responsible for developing the brand image, through the development of distribution and sales among the opinion- leading trade and key private collector groups in the Area of Responsibility.
Main activities:
Create and manage the list of opinion leaders to be targeted throughout the year in each market and for each brand.
Be perceived by strategic Opinion leaders (key trade clients and key collectors) as the ambassador of the Estate, representing it at the Trade and High-end consumer level.
Analyse distribution data and propose actions that correspond to each Estate’s strategic direction and support their implementation.
Determine the depletion targets for each wine and ensure their achievement in line with each Estate’s strategic direction and overall desired quality of distribution.
Provide structured input in line with each Estate’s Global Marketing Strategy in the creation of the annual marketing plans developed by each market and ensure their follow up, execution and respect of allocated A&P budget.
Accompany visits of key trade clients to the estates (organized with the support of Hospitality teams in Italy).
Be responsible and ensure the brand education of each importers’ salesforce/agent network and follow up on the implementation of brand’s directives in the marketplace.
Accompany the salesforce and Agents, in agreement with the importer, during calls to Key Customers with the objective of increasing the sales where possible.
Keep updated with competitor activities in the market: how the market is responding, interesting promotions and the release of new products.
Maintain close contacts with each Estate’s PR Managers to take full advantage of PR/press opportunities and with each Estate’s Marketing.
Relate with Marketing Managers for the definition of marketing materials to support development of sales and Estate image in the area of responsibility.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in the same role
Tri-lingual: Italian, German & English (considered a plus)
Marketing or Sales background
Strong interest in Fine Wine
Self-coordination and ability to work as a team player
Data Analysis and Planning
Ability to work across different brand teams
Place of work: Tuscany (we will also consider candidates residing in Germany, Austria, Swiss or other countries nearby)
