Our client is a multinational pharmaceutical group, a leading company in improving the health and well-being of people around the world. Through a complete portfolio of products and services, it guarantees an interesting job challenge for a HR Business Partner.


The position manages the HR function for Italy and ensures the implementation of the local HR strategy and talent agenda in close liason with regional directives and approaches, and ensures compliance with local labor regulations and local processes.  This position operationally reports to General Manager/Amm. Delegato (Italy).
  • Proactively establish strong working relationship with client group and align with regional HR and line leadership. Understand key business issues and their impact on HR, and provide Line Managers with consultative support on all people aspects in key business initiatives and HR processes (e.g. Talent Development, Performance Management).
  • Actively support (change proposal, implementation and evaluation) organization changes. Implement strategies and action plans to support establishment of new culture and new ways of working.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in the standard operational HR processes such as recruitment, retention, compensation, employee development, ensure quality standards.
Implement and maintain all core HR processes:
  • Staffing: manage recruiting activities that she/he is in charge from Hiring planning, defining recruitment strategy, selection to onboarding of new associates liaised with Corporate recruitment and Business.
  • Employee relations: counselling to support managers to deal with day-to-day issues in the work place.
  • Coaching and counselling: support line managers to improve skills and effectiveness in identifying leadership talent; support associates so that they can be successful in the workplace.
  • Diversity and inclusion : encourage and assist managers and associates to embrace the power of diversity to drive the business and to create a positive, productive environment where each associate can fully contribute and be valued.
  • HR Projects: manage HR projects for implementation within Italy (Local or Global HR Project liaised with HR Corporate) and ensure implementation of actions.
  • Employment law: ensure adherence to relevant labor and employment law.
  • HR Administration : liaise closely with the accounting consultant regarding payroll processes and administer all tasks within the legal entity (eg medical examination process, reporting, and social declarations for handicap tax… in collaboration with Finance department).
  • Manage social declarations : handicap tax, training tax, apprenticeship tax, building construction tax in collaboration with Finance department


  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • HR degree BAc
  • At least 10 years of experience in HR generalist role in a multinational environment
  • Experience working with senior executives in an “influence-without-authority” role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place.
  • Diplomatic approach with negotiation skills.
  • Ability to position self as credible (garners respect, acts with integrity, keeps commitments); proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought-partner (builds relationships, delivers results).
  • Independent work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to balance business partnering skills with employee advocacy.
  • Possesses both critical thinking capability and hands-on HR business plan implementation experience.
